The background of this research is that public services can be considered as one of the government's efforts to fulfill people's rights. Road and bridge infrastructure are public goods whose existence must be felt by all levels of society. Adequate infrastructure such as roads and bridges is very much needed to make it easier for the community to transport convenience. It is the authority of the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) to carry out road and bridge maintenance.
The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning and the obstacles that affect the performance of the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning in Road and Bridge Maintenance in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2021. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data used are primary data sourced from data created by researchers for the specific purpose of solving the problems that are being handled.
The results of the study conclude that the performance productivity of the PUPR Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency in maintaining road infrastructure has been going well. This can be seen in the performance percentage of the PUPR Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency until the second quarter has increased. The performance responsibility indicators of the PUPR Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency in maintaining road infrastructure are in accordance with the applicable SOP. Performance accountability indicators of the PUPR Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency in the maintenance of road infrastructure are carried out by providing information to the public in the form of service procedures, the amount of budget used in road infrastructure maintenance activities, as well as quarterly and one-year budget reports on activities that have been carried out.
