Perbandingan Metode Bina Marga 1990 Dengan Metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI) Dalam Menentukan Preservasi Jalan (Studi Kasus Jalan Pasir Putih Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau)
Status of Pasir Putih Road, Pekanbaru City is a national road with a road length
of 18.2 kilometers. Pasir Putih Road as referred to is located between the
Kaharudin Nasution intersection and the Kayu Ara intersection which is the main
access to or from the cities of Pekanbaru, Medan, Jambi, and Padang. Pasir
Putih road is also the economic artery of the Pekanbaru people, therefore it is
necessary to maintain the steady condition of the road. This study aims to
determine the type of damage and the right road preservation activities to be
applied in the Pasir Putih Road Section, Pekanbaru City. Bina Marga method
(1990) and the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) are one way to find out how the
condition of Jalan Pasir Putih in Pekanbaru City is. In this study, both methods
provide the highest recommendation for preservation activities in most of the
existing segments and sometimes the recommendation for preservation activities
from one method is higher than the other method. In Bina Marga method (1990)
the results showed that 55% of the length of the road had a priority order value
(UP) of 0-3 with recommendations for increased preservation activities, 22.5%
had a UP value of >7 with recommendations for routine maintenance, and 22, 5%
have a UP of 4-6 with periodic maintenance recommendations. Then for the
results of calculations based on the PCI method, 67% of the length of the road has
a PCI value of 0-55 with a recommendation for preservation activities is
reconstruction, 7% has a PCI value of 55-70 with a recommendation for
structural improvement, as many as 8% have a PCI value of 70-85 with a periodic
maintenance recommendations, and 20% had a PCI score of 80-100 with routine
maintenance recommendations.
