Analisis Turbiditas Transpor Sedimen Material Gambut Menggunakan Metode Adcp (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler)
Suspended sediment concentracy measurement without affecting turbulence around the measurement area is still a key problem in sediment transport research. One of the potential methods to solve this problem is using acoustic backscattering method or using Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) instrument. The principle of this instrument is based on Doppler Effect, utilizing sound wave ping by certain frequency to the target, in this case is suspended sediment particles, then the wave is reflected to the receiver (probe) to be recorded as data. This research is modelling the turbidity or suspended sediment concentration measurement and comparing it to the other two methods, sampling method and turbidity meter measurement method. The experiment model is conducted with two kind of water height variation for each peat water and clay water, 11 cm and 13 cm. The result is, the three method have similar data trend, but surely have big difference number, specifically between the sampling method and the two other methods. The score obtained by the ADCP method for each depth 4, 5, 6, 7 cm repectively, for peat water with the height of 11 cm: 190,9533 mg/l; 154,5546 mg/l; 147,9279 mg/l; 145,8526 mg/l; for peat water with the height of 13 cm: 229,7345 mg/l; 201,0545 mg/l; 183,3632 mg/l; 153,6305 mg/l; for the clay water with the height of 11 cm: 187,6988 mg/l; 247,4288 mg/l; 310,9205 mg/l; 424,2356 mg/l; and for the clay water with the height of 13 cm: 598,3186 mg/l; 417,6931 mg/l; 411,9673 mg/l; 430,6729 mg/l .
