ABSTRACT
The development of photography is growing rapidly in big cities, as can be seen from the many enthusiasts from various circles, Pekanbaru is no exception. Seeing the large number of photography enthusiasts, the growth of photography communities, and the many uses of photographic media in various activities, supporting aspects are needed such as education, exhibition and commercial facilities. Therefore, it is necessary to design facilities that can accommodate the activities of photography enthusiasts such as the Photography Gallery. The need for the construction of an Art Gallery in Pekanbaru is due to the fact that there are many photography enthusiasts in Pekanbaru and there are no facilities that can accommodate it. The choice of Expressionist Architecture as the design theme is aimed at making the designed building a communication medium to reflect the art of photography itself to users.
