The management of regional property is currently one aspect that needs
specialattention for local governments in implementing governance. Management
of regional property without transparency and accountability can be the cause of
the less than optimal service to the community as well as an assessment of the
fairness of the presentation of financial statements. This study aims to determine
and analyze how the management of regional property at the Dumai City
Transportation Service. The research method used inthis study is a descriptive
method with a qualitative approach, namely the problem-solving procedure
studied by using the method of describing the data obtained from library
observations and field observations, then analyzed and interpreted by providing
conclusions.Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation,
interviews and documentation related to the management of regional property.
The results of the study indicate that the management of regional property
at the Dumai City Transportation Service regarding the implementation and
governance in the management of regional property has referred to the existing
mechanisms and laws and regulations, such as in planning needs and budgeting,
procurement, use, and utilization. However, its implementation and management
has not been very effective, as can be seen from the budget and coordination of
the management of regional property at the Dumai City Transportation Service.
