ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in February 2022 on Halang Island, Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of the shrimp paste processing industry, analyze product quality, and analyze the shrimp paste marketing process. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. The results of the study describe the profile of the shrimp paste processing industry "Steven" which was established in 2006, the "Steven" industry is one of the largest shrimp paste processing industries on Halang Island, comparing the quality of consumer shrimp paste products with the sanitation standards of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17/Permen-KP /2019 to be suitable for consumption and the shrimp paste processing industry "Steven" markets products to the island of Java (Cirebon, Malang, and Jakarta) due to high consumer demand.
