Pemanfaatan Media Sosial Instagram Sebagai Wadah Promosi Ikan Hias Pada Usaha Ikan Hias Mcp Farm Di Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau
Abstract
This research was conducted on September 10th – October 10th, 2021 at the MCP Ornamental Fish Wholesaler Pekanbaru City Riau Province. The aim is to analyze MCP Farm's Instagram content, describe the benefits of MCP Farm's Instagram content and its constraints. The research method used is Content Analysis with a qualitative approach. The analyzed population was all promotional content on Instagram MCP Farm since its establishment in 2016, while the research sample was determined purposively, namely uploaded content on Instagram MCP Farm for one month of research. The results showed that the content used by MCP Farm for promotion was photo content and video content consisting of 11 photo content and 82 video content. The most widely used photo content theme is the fish type promotion theme with 8 photos, most of the uploaded photo content gets few likes. While the theme that is widely used in video content is the promotion of fish species with a total of 81 videos and the most used video duration is 9-25 seconds. The highest number of video content uploads per day is the upload frequency of 8-14 videos per day. Most of the uploaded video content has very few views. The benefits of content from MCP Farm's Instagram social media are building a brand, providing product information, marketing products and attracting resellers. Furthermore, the obstacles experienced by MCP Farm are the lack of creativity in creating content and the lack of competent human resources in the field of design.
