The purpose of this study was to analyze the income comparison between rubber farming and oil palm farming in Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency.
Determination of the research area is done by purposive sampling. The method used for sampling is (Proportional Random Sampling), which consists of rubber farmers and oil palm farmers in the research area. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from direct interviews with respondents, while secondary data is obtained from institutions or agencies such as the Central Statistics Agency for Pelalawan Regency. The data analysis method used is the analysis of the difference test or the average difference test (Independent sample T-test).
The results of this study indicate that there is a comparison between the income of rubber farming and oil palm farming where the income of rubber farming is lower than the income of oil palm farming which is increasing. With low rubber farming income, the prospect of rubber plantations will decrease and oil palm plantations will increase.
