Perilaku Struktur Pada Gedung Bertingkat Tinggi Saat Diberikan Perletakan Seismik Isolator Pada Tingkat Yang Berbeda
Indonesia, which is located on the border of the three main plates of the earth,
namely the Eurasian Plate, the Indo-Australian Plate, and the Pacific Plate, is one of
the areas with a high level of earthquake vulnerability in the Asia Pacific area. Highrise
buildings are one of the most vulnerable forms of construction and have a high risk
of earthquakes, this is because earthquakes can move the ground so that it can cause
building collapse due to ground shaking, this research started from a number of
problems experienced when planning one of the a multi-storey hotel building in the city
of Padang, namely how to choose the placement of Seismic Isolation used in high-rise
building structures in earthquake-prone areas, how to compare the performance and
stability of the structure when placing seismic isolators at different levels, then the
pattern of deviations between floors occurs in the building structure, as well as the
period of natural vibration of the structure due to differences in the placement of the
seismic isolation which is then compared with the conventional system (reinforcement
of the structure by using shear walls).
From some of these problems, the writer will be able to see whether the level of
effectiveness of the seismic isolator function can still function properly if the placement
is placed on a different floor level. placement of efficient seismic isolation even though
the installation is not carried out on the ground floor so that the seismic isolation can
still function effectively and efficiently on high-rise building structures.
