Prarancangan Pabrik Diphenylamine Dari Aniline Dengan Disain Alat Utama Menara Distilasi (T-101)
Domestic diphenylamine needs continue to increase, recorded in 2019 according to the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (2019), which imported 71.463 tons of diphenylamine, which was the highest import compared to previous years. In Indonesia, there is no industry that produces diphenylamine, so there are still many imports from countries such as China, Japan, and America. To reduce the number of imports from these countries, it is necessary to build a diphenylamine factory that can supply the diphenylamine needs in Indonesia. This plant is planned to operate for 330 days per year and work continuously for 24 hours/day with a capacity of 10,000 tons/year which will be established in West Kalimantan. The remaining time during the operation process is used for shutdown, plant maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair. The main equipment design in this factory is a diphenylamine distillation tower which functions to separate diphenylamine from aniline. This distillation tower is operated at a pressure of 1 atm and a temperature of 196.85oC. Economic analysis in the design of this plant shows that the diphenylamine plant is feasible to establish. With a Break Event Point (BEP) of 30.76%, Rate of Investment (ROI) of 23.78%, Interest Rate of Return (IRR) of 22.68%, Pay Back Period (PBP) of 3.03 years.
