Pembuatan Bahan Bakar Cair Dari Batu Bara Dan Plastik Polipropilen Dengan Metode Katalitik Co-Pirolisis
ABSTRACT
The decline in fossil fuel sources has prompted research into finding renewable fuels. Alternative energy sources that have high efficiency and are environmentally friendly. By looking at the existing problems, research on the pyrolysis of a mixture of coal and polypropylene plastic converted into liquid fuel is interesting to do. In the process of making the liquid fuel, the ratio of polypropylene plastic/coal is 75/25; 50/50; 25/75; 0/100, the ratio of catalyst CaO/raw material is 0%; 10%; 15%; 20%, and running at 400°C with 100 ml/minute nitrogen gas flowing for 60 minutes, liquid fuel with the highest compound content was obtained from polypropylene plastic/coal R 75/25 with a catalyst ratio of CaO/raw material 20%, about density 0.839 gr / ml, viscosity 2.51 cSt, calorific value 46.813 MJ/kg and pH 2.9.
