Analisis Pemasangan Kapasitor Bank Untuk Mengurangi Daya Reaktif Di Penyulang Jati
ABSTRACT
Distribution system is a part of electrical energy system that are used to
channel the massive electricity power to the consumer. Before the electricity power
reach the consumer there are power losses and voltage drop in the line. In order to
minimize the power losses and voltage drop we can use one alternative which is
installing a bank capasitor on the distribution system. One of the capasitor function
is repairing the voltage profile, fixing cos φ and minimizing the power losses. The
method that is used in the installment is individual compensation where the bank
capacitor is installed directly to the load. With the installment of the bank capacitor
in Jati Feeder with a simulation ETAP 12.6.0 Qc of 1249,06 kVAR fixing the power
factor that is previously 0,83 rise to 0,93. With the rising power factor, where
reactive power losses from 1497,6 kVAR decreasing to 1372,5 kVAR. And active
power losses decreasing from 720 kW to 659 kW after the installment of the bank
capacitor.
