Smart Toilet
ABSTRACT In general, toilets in Indonesia still use a manual system. Especially on the lighting system and toilet indicators are in use. Turning on the lights using a switch that you forgot to turn off has an impact on wasting electrical energy. Then it often happens that toilet users do not know the toilet is being used or not. This problem requires a solution or solution by updating the toilet system from manual to automatic system by carrying out the smart building concept. In this study, it was made to overcome the problems that often occur by making a smart toilet system. The method used is to design a system that is able to control the use of electrical energy for lighting lamps and control the use of exhaust and indicators of the toilet being used by applying the PIR sensor. If it detects human movement, the lights, exhaust and toilet indicators in use will automatically turn on. From the results of the tests carried out, it shows that in testing the functionality of the system all functions have been running well. Then this system has a delay to turn off all components with an average of 12.5 seconds. When the user only opens the toilet door but does not enter it, the only active component is the main light, not the exhaust and the toilet indicator is being used.
