Abstract
This research was conducted in Pangkalan Kerinci Timur Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province with the aim of calculating the amount of investment, revenue, profit and feasibility level of baung fish farming based on financial (financial) aspects using analysis of investment, revenue, profit, Revenue Cost of Ratio (RCR), financial rate of return (FRR), and payback period of capital (PPC). The method used in this study is a survey method while the determination of respondents is carried out by census. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and direct documentation with 10 baung fish cultivators. The results showed that the size of the cages for baung fish cultivators consisted of a size of 4×2×1.8 m³ the total investment was IDR20.492.747,00, the income received was IDR29.062.500,00 year-1, the profit received is IDR10.623.864,00 year-1, RCR 1,57, FRR 51,85 percent, PPC 1,95. Meanwhile, for cages with a size of 4×4×1.8 m, the total investment is IDR62.937.462,00, the revenue received is IDR110.000.000,00 year-1, the profit received is IDR63.014.180,00 year-1, RCR 2,25, FRR 91,15 percent, PPC 1,37. Based on the results of the calculation that the RCR is more than 1, the FRR is greater than the bank interest rate of 6.4 percent, and the PPC is less than the maximum required time and the economic life of the equipment used for baung fish cultivation is 3 years, then the baung fish farming business is feasible to operate.
