ABSTRACT
This research aims to know the interaction of vermicompost and NPK
fertilizers, better dose of vermicompost and NPK fertilizers, and get the best
combination of vermicompost and NPK fertilizers. The research has been
conducted completely by using randomized design, consisting of two treatments
and three replications. The first treatment is the giving of vermicompost with four
levels (2,5 5, 7,5 and 10 ton.ha-1) and the second factor is NPK fertilizer with
three levels (200, 250 and 300 kg.ha-1). The measured parameters are the height of
plant, the age of flowering, number of produktive branches, percentage of
effective root nodules, the age of harvest, the number of polong, the percentage of
polong bernas, the number of seeds, the weight of dry seeds per plant, the weight
of dry seeds per plot and the weight of 100 dry seeds. The result showed that the
interaction between the treatment of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer
significantly increased the height of plant, the age of flowering, number of
primary branches, percentage of effective root nodules, the age of harvest, the
number of polong, the percentage of polong bernas, the number of seeds, the
weight of dry seeds per plant, the weight of dry seeds per 1,8 m2 and the weight of
100 dry seeds. The result of this research shows that the giving of 10 ton.ha-1
vermicompost and the giving of 300 kg.ha-1 NPK fertilizer can increase the
growth and yield of Soybean better than the other treatments.
