Pengaruh Konsentrasi Zat Pengatur Tumbuh Atonik Terhadap Pertumbuhan Setek Kembang Sepatu (Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis)
ABSTRACT
The hibiscus flower (Habiscu rosa-sinensis L.) is a type of flower plant and one of the shrubs of the Malvaceae tribe. One of the simple vegetative propagation techniques that does not require large production costs is cuttings. The success of growing on cuttings is indicated by the formation of roots. Efforts to increase the success of cuttings can be made by applying atonic growth regulators to stimulate rooting. This study aims to determine the effect of the concentration of Atonik growth regulators and the best treatment on the growth of hibiscus cuttings. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden Technical Service Unit, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research was conducted experimentally in the form of a completely randomized design with 6 treatments, namely: Z0 = 0 ml.l-1 water, Z1 = 0,25 ml.l-1 water, Z2 = 0,50 ml.l-1 water, Z3 = ml.l-1 water, Z4 = 1 ml.l-1 water, Z5 = 1,25 ml.l-1 water. The results showed an increase in the concentration of atonic growth regulators 1,25 ml.l-1 of water could accelerate the time of shoot emergence by 4,50 days or 25%, resulting in 175% more shoots, 87% longer shoot lengths, 87,5 roots. % more, 151% longer root length and 76,9% more root volume than without the concentration of atonic growth regulators.
