Village Owned Enterprises are instruments for empowering the local
economy with various types of village potential. The purpose of Village-Owned
Enterprises in the Regulation of the Minister of Villages for Development of
Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Number 4 of 2015 is to improve the
village economy, increase community businesses in managing village economic
potential. The existence of BUMDesa functions as a social and commercial
institution in the village, of course it requires good and directed management so
that the goals to be achieved can be carried out properly. Therefore, BUMDes
managerial capabilities and performance are needed in carrying out management
properly. Managerial performance is very important because managerial
performance shows that the leader or manager has worked effectively and
efficiently in implementing organizational goals.
This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of transformational
leadership style variables on managerial performance with work motivation as an
intervening variable. This research was conducted on the Director of Village
Owned Enterprises (BUMDES). Data collection technique with positivism
paradigm research quantitative approach by sending a questionnaire to the
Director of BUMDES. Of the 90 questionnaires distributed, 74 questionnaires were
processed using Structural Equation Moderating - Partial Least Squares (SEMPLS)
analysis.
The results of this study prove that transformational leadership variables
have no effect on managerial performance. However, the transformational
leadership style influences work motivation and work motivation influences
managerial performance. Work motivation also intervenes in transformational
leadership style on managerial performance in Village-Owned Enterprises
(BUMDES) in Bengkalis Regency.
