ABSTRACT
This study aims to explain the presence of Kalyanamitra who uses social media or mass media as a promotional media on the side of people's lives while increasing effectiveness in the field of communication, especially raising feminist issues. The use of social media is used by Kalyanamitra or groups that oppose feminists, especially to convey views and criticisms for each group. Based on research by We Are Social and Hootsuite in January 2019, the social media Instagram managed to become the fourth most used social media application. The difference in the motives for uploading content from these accounts mainly lies in the way topics are discussed from different perspectives. The feminism movement in online media does not stop at the level of content reproduction, several feminists have established independent media that present alternative news and information about feminism and its urgency in society.
This study uses a qualitative method, with data collection techniques through literature study sourced from several books, journals, articles, and websites. This research uses constructivism perspective and campaign social theory.
In this study, the author would like to explain or describe the research on the role of the Kalyanamitra Foundation in social media in dealing with anti-feminist movements that regard the feminist movement as a movement that opposes norms, as well as a culture that should not exist in Indonesia.
