Modifikasi Alat Simulasi Mesin Stirling
Abstract
At this time the development of the combustion engine is moving towards an environmentally friendly combustion engine which emphasizes the use of lower costs. This is due to the depletion of fossil fuel supplies available in the world. Based on this thought, the developer of a combustion engine that uses fuel that is low in cost and relatively harmless to the environment is carried out. To get these results, a combustion engine in the form of a stirling engine was made. This final project aims to be an efficient alternative energy generator simulation tool and help students learn to introduce energy conversion machines. The workings of the stirling engine is by expanding the gas when heated and followed by gas compression when cooled, the fuel is used as a source of heat energy which is converted by the combustion engine into mechanical energy in the form of a translational movement of the piston which is then converted into rotational movement of the fly wheel. Other components in the stirling engine are flywheel, second flywheel, heat exchange piston, counterweight, cylinder, heat exchange cylinder, bearing support, cylinder cover, base, support, standard, and connecting rods. The stirling engine has dimensions of 140 mm long, 80 mm wide and 142 mm high. In the process of operation, the stirling engine is operated by manually heating it using a torch.
