Perbedaan Efektivitas Obat Metformin, Dlbs 3233, Dan Ekstrak Vaccinium Myrtillus Terhadap Perubahan Karakteristik Rotterdam Dan Homa-Ir Pada Pasien Sindroma Ovarium Polikistik Kronik
Chronic polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common disorder
of reproductive age that can be diagnosed with the Rotterdam criteria, namely
amenorrhea, hyperandrogen, and there is a picture of PCOS on ultrasound with
follicles > 12 and volume more than 10. PCOS is associated with hyperandrogen
conditions and insulin resistance. Obesity and being overweight are factors for
insulin resistance and check using the HOMA-IR level, if the HOMA-IR level is
>2 then insulin resistance drugs such as metformin will be given, but recently
metformin is less effective in reducing insulin and has many side effects. Thus,
alternative drugs that are more effective in reducing insulin resistance are currently
being carried out and no research has been conducted on the effectiveness of these
three drugs in Indonesia. So the problem of this research is how the effectiveness
of Metformin, DLBS 3233, and Vaccinium Myrtillus extract against changes in the
characteristics of Rotterdam and HOMA-IR in patients with Chronic Polycystic
Ovarian Syndrome?
In general, this study aims to determine whether the purpose of this study
was to determine differences in the effectiveness of metformin, DLBS 3233, and
Vaccinium myrtillus extract against changes in the characteristics of Rotterdam and
HOMA-IR in patients with chronic polycystic ovary syndrome. The specific
purpose is to know the changes in the characteristics of Rotterdam and HOMA-IR,
secondary outcomes, objective objectivity in PCOS patients
This study was a randomized clinical trial that was analytic, doubleblinding,
prospective, and comparative in nature in a total of 39 patients who were
evenly divided on each test drug. The research was conducted at Arifin Achmad
Hospital, Riau Province from January-July 2022
Demographic characteristics obtained homogeneous data measuring age,
primary infertility, BMI, arm circumference and abdominal circumference before
and after treatment. In the measurement of the t-test analysis one by one the drugs
were tested, it was found that DLBS has the advantage of being significant in
improving the menstrual cycle, Ferriman-Gallwey score, and the number of ovarian
follicles. Meanwhile, when compared with the multivariate analysis of the three
drug tests, the data obtained were not normally distributed, then using the Kruskal
Wallis test, there were differences between the three drugs in improving
amenorrhea, decreasing BMI, and improving follicles, but when the post hoc test
was performed there was no superiority of the three drugs. test in changes to the
