Seleksi Dan Uji Daya Antagonis Isolat Jamur Endofit Dari Tanaman Jeruk Siam (Citrus Nobilis Lour) Asal Kabupaten Kampar Terhadap Phytophthora Sp. Penyebab Busuk Pangkal Batang Pada Tanaman Jeruk Serta Identifikasinya
ABSTRACT
This research aims to screen and observe the antagonicity of endophytic fungi isolates from siamese citrus and to obtain the highest antagonicity of endophytic fungi isolate which are potential as biological agents against Phytophthora sp., the cause of stem rot disease on citrus plants. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. There search used exploration methods (isolation and purification of endophytic fungi isolates and pathogen from siamese citrus plants), experiment (antagonism, diameter and growth rate of higher antagonicityof endophytic fungi) and observation (hypovirulence, hyperparasitism and identification of higher antagonicity of endophytic fungi). Data of hypovirulence, hyperparasitism and identification of higher antagonicity of endophytic fungi were presented descriptively. Data of antagonicity, diameter and growth rate of higher antagonicity of endophytic fungi were analyzed using analysis of variance. To compare the means among the treatments, DNMRT at level 5% were applied. The results found 21 isolates, 15 isolates were hypovirulent and 6 isolates were virulent. Isolate from stem tissue (E8) had the highest antagonicity (64.63%). The largest diameter and the highest growth rate of endophytic fungi was isolate E8 (90.00 mm and 55.37 mm.day-1). Hyperparasitic interactions of higher antagonicity of endophytic fungi were lysis (E8 and E7 isolates from stem tissue), attachment (E1 isolates from root tissue and E18 isolates from leaf tissue) and entanglement (E16 isolates from leaf tissue). The results also showed that isolates E7 and E8 belonged to the genus of Trichoderma, E1 and E18 belonged to the genus of Papulaspora and E16 belonged to the genus of Cladosporium.
