Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.) Dengan Pemberian Bahan Organik Dan Pupuk Organik Cair
ABSTRACT The shallot plant has many benefits, namely as a seasoning for cooking and medicine. The production of shallot plants in Riau Province is still relatively low. The factor causing the low production of shallot plants is soil fertility. Efforts that can be made to improve soil fertility are by adding organic matter and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The study aims to determine the effect of the interaction of organic matter and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot plants. The research was conducted experimentally in the form of a 4x4 factorial using a completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor is the provision of organic matter consisting of 4 levels, namely: no organic matter, chicken manure (CM) 5 tons.ha-1, husk charcoal (HC) 5 tons.ha-1 and CM 2.5 tons.ha-1 + HC 2.5 tons.ha-1. The second factor is LOF which consists of 4 levels, namely: No LOF, frequency of application 3 times, 2 times and 1 time per week. Data from the observations of each parameter were analyzed statistically using variance analysis and Duncan's multiple ranges further test at the 5% level. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves per clump, total wet biomass weight per clump, total dry biomass weight per clump, bulb yield per clump and total and number of shallot bulbs based on size per clump. The results showed the interaction of chicken manure at a dose of 5 tons.ha-1 with LOF at a frequency of 2 times per week resulted in an increase in plant height, total weight of wet and dry biomass per clump, the weight of shelf-worthy bulbs and the number of large bulbs compared to no treatment.
Keywords: organic matter, liquid organic fertilizer, shallot.
