Pengaruh Lingkungan Kerja Dan Kompensasi Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Melalui Disiplin Kerja Sebagai Variabel Intervening Pada Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (Pdam) Tirta Kampar
The regional drinking water company Tirta Kampar is a regional company
engaged in the provision of clean water which is a form of service provided by the
government to the community. Seeing the large number of workers in the company,
the company seeks to empower the potential of its employees in order to achieve an
optimal workforce. And from the results of the assessment, it is known that the
percentage of the results of the employee performance appraisal is not in accordance
with what is expected, namely getting a very good rating, because the results of the
assessment have not reached the numbers 91 to 100. The percentage of performance
results tends to decrease from 2018-2020 so it is necessary there is an increase in
performance to achieve a very good predicate.
This study aims to see the effect of the work environment and compensation
on employee performance through work discipline as an intervening variable at the
regional drinking water company Tirta Kampar. The population in this study were all
employees in 2021 as many as 111 people. The number of samples in this study was
carried out by means of a saturated sampling technique (census), which made all
members of the population a sample, so that the number of samples that became the
object of this study were 111 employees. The data analysis method used is path
analysis using the SPSS 26 program.
The results of the study found that the work environment and compensation
had a significant effect on employee work discipline. Then the work environment,
compensation and work discipline have a significant effect on employee performance.
Furthermore, the work environment and compensation have a significant effect on
employee performance through work discipline. As much as 88.1% of the research
model can be explained by the variables used in the study,
