Penerapan Pembelajaran Fisika Pendekatan Kontekstual Kemaritiman Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa Kelas XI SMAN Negeri 2 Dumai
Science process skills are very important for students because they are a provision to use the scientific method in conducting investigations and are expected to be able to acquire new knowledge. The purpose of this research is first to describe students' science process skills after the application of maritime contextual physics learning to static fluid material for class XI SMA Negeri 2 Dumai and the second objective is to find out the effectiveness of learning maritime contextual physics in improving the science process skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Dumai. This type of research uses a quasi experiment with a nonequivalent posttest only control group research design. The population used was all students of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Dumai, totaling 288 students. The data collection instrument was a static fluid material science process skill test consisting of 16 multiple choice questions. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the science process skills of students using the maritime contextual approach were included in the high category with an average of 62.15; while the results of the inferential analysis there is a significant difference in the posttest average score of students' science process skills between classes that apply maritime contextual approaches to conventional learning with a value of Sig. = 0.003
