Pembuatan Dan Perakitan Airframe (Fuselage, Sayap, Dan Ekor) Wahana Terbang Tipe Fixed Wing Sa-1300
ABSTRACT
To improve the performance of fixed wing flying vehicles, in 2022 the Mechanical Engineering flying robot team of Riau University redesigned the SA-1300 flying vehicle. The design process of the SA1300 ride has been completed at the design stage. The second stage of the design of the SA1300 ride is the manufacture and assembly of the SA-1300 flying vehicle based on a predetermined design. In this study, the SA1300 vehicle was made using fiberglass composite material on the body (fuselage), while the wing and tail were made using foam core composite material. This research began with the printing of both parts of the fuselage using the vacuum bagging method. Upon completion, the two parts of the fuselage are put together using epoxy glue. Furthermore, the manufacture of wings and tails is carried out using foam core composite material. After all parts of the airframe are completed, it is continued with the process of connecting from all parts of the airframe. Based on the measurements that have been made, the fuselage, wings, vertical tail, and horizontal tail sections have a mass of 646 gr, 370 gr, 89 gr, 89 gr, respectively. This shows that the mass of each part of the airframe of the SA1300 flying vehicle meets the predetermined criteria. Based on fuselage dimension measurements, the height has the largest error, which is 2.3% (point 22) while the width has the largest error, which is 1.5% (point 21). Based on the measurement of wing dimensions, the wide part has the largest error of 2.7% (point 9). As for the vertical tail, the wide part has the largest error of 4.9% (point 4). In the horizontal tail, the wide part has the largest error of 3.3% (point 5). This shows that the error of each part of the airframe of the SA1300 flying vehicle meets the predetermined criteria, which is below 10% so that it does not have a major effect on the performance of the vehicle.
