Kaji Eksperimental Pengaruh Tekanan Injeksi Pada Motor Bakar Diesel Menggunakan Bahan Bakar Biosolar B50
ABSTRACT
Currently, the supply of fossil energy such as oil in Indonesia, which has been used so far, is running low. Therefore, efforts are needed to find renewable energy. One alternative fuel that is environmentally friendly and comes from renewable resources is biodiesel. The biodiesel used is generally mixed with diesel, which is called biodiesel, each biodiesel-solar mixture will have its own characteristics when used as diesel engine fuel, so we need a way to the characteristics of biodiesel so that the performance of diesel engine increases. One way to improve the performance of a diesel engine is by adjusting the injection pressure. This study aims to determine the effect of regulating fuel injection pressure on the performance of a diesel engine using biosolar B50. The parameters measured include, Δh at the orifice, the volume of fuel used, fuel consumption time, and engine rpm. In the tests carried out, it was found that variations in injection pressure affect engine performance parameters such as effective shaft power, brake mean effective pressure, specific fuel consumption, thermal efficiency, and air fuel ratio. The test was carried out with five variations of injection pressure, namely 110 bar (standard), 120 bar, 130 bar, 140 bar, 150 bar and loading for each injection pressure from 5,000 kg/m2 to 28,000 kg/m2. Where for the best engine performance value at injection pressure of 150 bar with an effective shaft power of 2.684 kW at a load of 25,000 kg/m2, the highest BMEP value was loaded with 28,000 kg/m2, which was 1038.652 N/m2, the highest thermal efficiency was found at a load of 25,000 kg/m2, which was 70.089%, for the highest AFR value with a loading of 5,000 kg/m2 of 169.003, and for the lowest SFC value at 25,000 kg/m2 loading was 3.23×10-5 kg/kJ.
