Unjuk Kerja Mesin Diesel Dengan Rasio Kompresi 21:1 Berbahan Bakar Biosolar B50 Akibat Pengaruh Tekanan Injeksi Dan Temperatur Bahan Bakar
ABSTRACT
Petroleum production shows a downward trend. Biodiesel is a renewable energy source that can be an alternative fuel similar to conventional (fossil) diesel oil. The use of biodiesel in diesel engines is still experiencing problems and results in the performance of diesel engines not being optimal. Several ways that can be use to improve engine performance in the use of biodiesel include adjusting the injection pressure and increasing the fuel intake temperature. This study aimed to determine the effect of adding fuel injection pressure to the performance of a diesel motor using biodiesel B50. This study used a single cylinder diesel motor with constant rotation, using 3 variations of injection pressure of 130, 150 and 170 bar and 3 variations of inlet fuel temperature 50˚C, 60˚C and 70˚C with loading from 5,000 kg/m2 to 28,000 kg /m2 . The results showed that the maximum effective shaft power at injection pressure variation of 170 bar, temperature 60˚C, and load of 25,000 kg/m2 was 2.693 kW. The highest BMEP value was loaded with 28,000 kg/m2, which was 1,081.875 N/m2. Optimal thermal efficiency at injection pressure variation of 170 bar, temperature 60˚C, and load of 25,000 kg/m2 is 77.26%. The best sfc was obtained at an injection pressure of 170 bar, a temperature of 60˚C, and a load of 25,000 kg/m2 with a value of 0.00002901 kg/kJ. AFR at injection pressure variations of 150 bar, temperature 70˚C, and a load of 5,000 kg/m2 with an AFR value of 176.68.
