Pembuatan Dan Perakitan Airframe (Fuselage, Sayap, Dan Ekor) Wahana Terbang Ssu-01 Tipe Vertical Take-Off And Landing (Vtol) Fixed Wing
ABSTRACT
To improve the performance of the fixed wing flying vehicle, in 2021 the Mechanical Engineering Flying Robot Team of the University of Riau again redesigned the SSU-01 fixed wing type of VTOL flying vehicle. The design process for the SSU-01 VTOL fixed wing flying vehicle has been completed at the design stage. The second stage of the design of the fixed wing VTOL vehicle is the manufacture and assembly of the SSU-01 VTOL fixed wing flying vehicle based on the specified design. In this study, the fixed wing VTOL vehicle was made using fiberglass composite material on the fuselage, while the tail and wings were made using foam core composite material. This research begins with printing the two parts of the fuselage using epoxy glue. Next, the wings and tail were made using foam core composite material. After all parts of the airframe have been made, proceed with the process of connecting all parts of the airframe. Based on the measurements that have been made, the fuselage, wings, vertical tail, and horizontal tail have a mass of 485 gr, 446 gr, 26 gr, 82 gr, respectively.
