Analisis Kesalahan Penulisan Huruf Katakana Pada Mahasiswa Angkatan 2020 Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Fkip Universitas Riau
In Japanese language education, mastery of letters is a very important basic aspect. Japanese is known as a language rich in letters but poor in sounds. To convey a limited number of sounds, 4 types of letters are used, one of which is the katakana. When writing katakana, many students make mistakes. Mistakes in katakana are often seen as insignificant, but in fact they can be fatal.
At Riau University's Japanese Language Education, learning katakana is a part of the Hyouki which is studied in semester one in several meetings. In several of these meetings, learning katakana of course ineffective because this course was not focused on learning to write katakana only, but also on learning other Japanese characters. Then the lack of use and learning of katakana causes students not to learn katakana.
The purpose of this research is to describe the form of the misspelling of the Katakana in students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program Class of 2020, University of Riau. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach because it analyzes student mistakes. The data sources in this study were 27 students from class of 2020 and the data obtained were 14 students. The instrument in this study is a test. The test in this study consisted of 15 questions with 2 parts, the first part was objective questions and the second part was short essay questions.
Based on the results of data analysis, students make the most mistakes in writing chōon. choon writing errors are divided into two, namely the elimination of chōon and the use of chōon. Then in this study found 5 categories of katakana writing errors such as sonata writing errors, handakutenerrors, mixed letter writing errors, missing letter writing errors and consonant writing errors
