Aplikasi Kompos Ampas Tahu Dan Pupuk P Pada Tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.)
ABSTRACT
Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a root vegetable and is one of the leading horticultural commodities used as a mixture of seasonings and processed form. The need for shallots continues to increase as the population increases. Data from the Central Statistics Agency and the Director General of Horticulture (2020) show that shallot production in Riau is relatively low. This low productivity is due to the fact that most of the land in Riau is marginal land. One of the efforts to increase the productivity of shallot plants is by fertilizing using both organic and inorganic fertilizers. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction of tofu dregs compost with TSP fertilizer and the effect of dosage on the growth and production of shallot plants. The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Campus Bina Widya KM. 12.5 Simpang Baru Village, Bina Widya District, Pekanbaru. The study was conducted experimentally in the form of a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with 2 factors. The results showed that there was no effect on leaf length, number of leaves, number of tubers per clump, tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight per meter and storageable tuber weight per meter when given different combinations of tofu dregs compost and TSP fertilizer doses. Application of tofu dregs compost affected leaf length, number of tubers per clump, tuber diameter, weight of fresh tubers per meter and weight of tubers fit to store per meter. Application of TSP fertilizer affected leaf length, number of tubers per clump, tuber diameter, weight of fresh tubers per meter and weight of tubers fit for storage per meter. The data obtained were analyzed by means of variance and the results of the analysis were further tested by Duncan's distance test at the 5% level.
