Keanekaragaman Spesies Kupu-Kupu (Rhopalochera) Dan Potensi Daya Tariknya Di Taman Wisata Alam Buluh Cina, Kabupaten Kampar, Riau
ABSTRACT Butterflies occupy the largest number of species among insect populations. This study aims to determine the composition and diversity as well as characteristics and potential attractions in Buluh Cina Nature Park, Riau. This research was conducted between January 2019 and March 2019. Sampling was conducted in the morning with three repetitions. Butterfly sampling was carried out using a sweeping technique following a 400 m long transect line. The number of individual butterflies obtained was 48 individuals (five families, 11 subfamilies, 19 genera, and 23 species). Butterfly species diversity in TWA Buluh Cina was 2.88 (medium category) and the evenness index was 0.92 (high category). The characteristics and attractiveness of a butterfly species lie in the size, color, shape, and behavior. The location of TWA Buluh Cina can be used as a habitat for butterfly species, but for now, it has not been explored as a tourist area for butterfly species.
