Identifikasi Hasil Tangkapan Sampingan Alat Tangkap Belat Di Desa Anak Setatah Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau

ABSTRACT
Belat is a passive fishing gear that belongs to a group of traps operatedin the area around the coast.on the operation, belat not only produce of the main catch but also get the by-catch. This study aims to identify the main results, and by-cath. The research method used is survey method by doing direct observation of the belat catch result and then the catch is identified to fish species, individual number and fishweight. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the main catches are two types of shrimp that is white shrimp (Penaeus indicus) and asian tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) with a weight of 30400 g. By-catch caught are small fish and young fish, consists of 6 species with total weight of 29300 g.
