Hubungan Pengetahuan Postpartum Dengan Dukungan Suami Pada Ibu Postpartum
Abstract
Introduction: During the postpartum period, postpartum mothers will adapt to
physiological and psychological changes after giving birth. Mothers postpartum
who cannot adapt to these changes are at risk of experiencing postpartum
disorders. Husband's support is needed by postpartum to adapt to the changes
experienced. The husband's support includes emotional, informational,
instrumental, and reward support. Objective: This study aims to determine the
relationship between postpartum mothers postpartum. Methods: This study used a
descriptive correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. It was conducted in
three working areas of Pekanbaru Health Center, namely Sidomulyo Inpatient,
Simpang Baru, and Sidomulyo Outpatient Care on 100 husbands of postpartum
mothers in the span of 42 postpartum. The sampling technique used is purposive
sampling. Results: The majority of husband's knowledge of postpartum was good
(70.0%) and the majority of husband's support categories for postpartum were
good (69.0%). The results of statistical tests using chi-square obtained p-value
(0.000) < alpha (0.05) then H0 is rejected. Conclusion: There is a significant
relationship between postpartum knowledge and husband's support for
postpartum. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that it can be additional
information for health workers so that health workers can carry out counseling
efforts related to things that husbands should know about postpartum, especially
the psychological and physiological adaptations experienced by mothers during
the postpartum period to increase husband's awareness to provide support to the
postpartum mothers.
