ABSTRACT
Rice is a food crop that has an important role because it is used as a staple food for some people in the world, one of them is Indonesia. The presence of weeds is very disturbing for rice plants because competition between weeds and rice plants can occur. This study aims to determine the structural analysis of weed composition in the rice fields in Mentayan Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency. The method used is the quadratic method. There are 10 plots measuring 5 m x 5 m, 250 meters long, and the distance between plots is 20 meters. The research results found 20 species from 10 families with a total of 839 individuals. The highest dominance value in land one is the species Cyperus rotundus (46.32) and in land 2 is the species Imperata cylindrica (52.6). The highest important value index in field one was species Eleusine indica (46.82) and land two was species Imperata cylindrica (45.70). The diversity value index (H') is moderate.
Key findings: Cyperus rotundus, important value index species dominance, rice plants in Mentayan Bengkalis Village, weeds.
