Inventarisasi Kupu-Kupu (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera) Di Kawasan Air Terjun Nagari Silokek, Kabupaten Sijunjung, Sumatera Barat
ABSTRACT The Forest Area in Nagari Silokek is a natural forest that holds natural beauty and has a fairly high diversity of butterflies. This forest area has a lot type of habitat so that it has a variety of butterfly species. This study aims to identify and inventory the butterflies of the Sub Order Rhopalocera based on morphological characters in the Silokek waterfall area, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra. The method used is exploration by direct capture using an insect net. The butterfly catching areas are natural forests, rubber plantations and waterfalls. The characteristics of the butterflies observed were the head, chest, legs, abdomen and wings. Results are presented in the form of descriptions and identification keys. The results obtained were 36 species from 222 individuals. The butterfly family consists of the Families Papilionidae (nine species), Nymphalidae (19 species), and Pieridae (eight species). The highest butterfly species come from the Nymphalidae Family. The characteristics of the shape of the antenna are rounded, tapered and rope. Chest color is black, brown and yellow. The colors on the limbs and belly are black, brown, forehead, and white. The shape of the wing color pattern is spotted, eyespot, plain, and color bands.The shape of the lower wing margin is smooth, wavy and tail extension. The shape of the tip of the upper wing is tapered and rounded/curved.
