ABSTRACK
The shrimp paste business in Pulau Halang Muka Village in processing experiences obstacles where it is difficult to get raw materials, especially rebon shrimp so that the production of shrimp paste also fluctuates every year, a decrease in production will affect the income and feasibility of shrimp paste business. This study aims to determine the existing conditions of shrimp paste raw materials, calculate the profit of shrimp paste processing and analyze the feasibility of shrimp paste processing. This research was conducted at Steven's factory in Pulau Halang Muka Village, Kubu Babussalam District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The method used is a case study conducted intensively, in detail and in depth on the shrimp paste business and data collection through interviews with shrimp paste factory business owners. Informants in this study were the owners of shrimp paste processing factories in Pulau Halang Muka Village. The results of the research obtained are: Mr. Steven's shrimp paste processing factory is included in a small business which has a net worth of IDR521,673,400 and an annual income of IDR900,000,000. Steven's factory has a profit per year of Rp137,208,231, this value is obtained from annual revenue of IDR900,000,000 which is reduced by total costs of IDR762,791,769. Based on the results of the calculation, the production BEP value is 7,861 kg while the price BEP is IDR5,031/kg. The RCR value obtained is 1.180. The FRR value obtained is 26.3%. The PPC value obtained is 3.80. Based on the feasibility analysis of the calculation of BEP, RCR, FRR, PPC, the shrimp paste business at Steven's factory can be said to be feasible.
