Persepsi Pengunjung Terhadap Pengembangan Wisata Pantai Ujung Sibolga Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah Sumatera Utara
Abstract This research was carried out in January 2023 at Pajus tourism, Simare-mare Village, Sibolga City, Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. Location determination was carried out purposively based on observations via the internet and on-the-spot studies. This research aims to; (1) To find out the physical and socio-cultural conditions at the tip of Sibolga marine tourism; (2) To analyze visitor perceptions in the development of marine tourism at Ujung Sibolga Beach. The method used in this research is a survey method with a quantitative approach. In this study, respondents were determined as many as 90 visitors (10% of the total population). The selection of respondents was determined by accidental sampling technique. Data collection used a questionnaire with predetermined statements, a Likert scale and was analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The research results that have been obtained from this study are: (1) Pajus Tourism has good physical condition and has a variety of cultures, because Sibolga has various ethnicities. There are more than 15 ethnic groups in Sibolga, that's why Sibolga City is known as "The Country of Many Peoples". One of the cultures that exists in Sibolga, especially in the Simare-mare sub-district, is the Sikambang Arts, where this art consists of dance and music which in its development cannot be separated from fishing community groups. The language used by the Sibolga coastal community is the Baikko language. The Baikko language is a mixture of other areas outside the Sibolga coastal area, such as the Minang and Batak languages. (2) Visitors' perceptions of the 4 aspects (attractions, accessibility, facilities, and additional services) at Pajus tourism are considered in the good category, but in the aspect of facilities there are still indicators that are considered unfavorable by visitors.
