Uji Konsentrasi Ekstrak Umbi Gadung (Dioscorea Hispida Dennst.) Terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak (Spodoptera Litura Fab.) Pada Tanaman Jagung Di Laboratorium

ABSTRACT
Spodoptera litura Fab. is a pest that attacks corn plants in the vegetative and generative phases. According to research, S. litura can cause up to 85% damage if S. litura not controlled and cause crop failure. The part of the gadung plant that is utilized as a botanical insecticide is the gadung bulb. This study aims to obtain an effective concentration of gadung tuber extract to control fall armyworm (Spodoptera litura Fab.). The research was conducted at the Plant Pest Laboratory, Faculty of Agroculture, Riau University. The study was conducted from April to June 2023. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatnents and thre applications in order to obtain 15 experimental units. The treatments that given were the concentration of gadung tuber extract 0%, 2,5%, 5%, 7,5% and 10%. Observation parameters consist of the initial time of death, lethal time 50, daily mortality, total mortality, temperature and humidity. The results showed that the concentration 7,5% was an effective concentration for controlling fall armyworm (Spodoptera litura Fabriciusin) with an initial time of death 9 hours, lethal time 50 at 52 hours and total mortality at 80%.
