Fiddler crab is a unique type of small crab that lives in a detritus-eating mangrove ecosystem. They live in the sandy and muddy substrat of intertidal zone. Changes in the intertidal environment causes mangrove degradation and abrasion can have an impact on the existence of fiddler crab. Fiddler crab were taken in October 2020 in 4 different locations (Selat Baru, Bukit Batu, Tanjung Leban, Perapat Tunggal). Specimen were collected with a hoe or by hand capture. The results of research in the intertidal area of Bengkalis Regency found nine species from four genera. One species belong to the genus Uca (U. stylifera), one species belong to genus Gelasimus (G. hesperiae), two species belong to the genus Austruca (A. annulipes A. perplexa), and five species belonging to the genus Tubuca (T. arcuata, T. typhoni, T. urvillei, T. dussumieri, T. rosea).
