Keefektifan Media Podcast Sakura Tips Sebagai Alternatif Belajar Menyimak Bahasa Jepang Tingkat Dasar
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Sakura Tips podcast media as an alternative for learning to listen to basic Japanese. The method used is to use a quantitative approach with this type of experimental research and use a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design pattern. The sample in this study were 20 active students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Riau, using random sampling. The instrument in this study was a test and data were processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 program. The results of data analysis from student tests were in the good category. Student test results showed an increase in the content of the podcasts that were listened to by obtaining an average score of 72 in the good category. This happens because the speaker or podcaster’s delivery method adapts to basic Japanese language learners so that the intonation in the delivery is not too fast and can be understood by students. So it can be concluded that the Sakura Tips podcast media is effective as an alternative to learning to listen to basic Japanese.
