Pengembangan Modul Berbasis Discovery Learning Dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Dan Sikap Ilmiah Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Peredaran Darah Manusia SMP/Mts
Learning modules based on Discovery Learning on the material of the human circulatory system which has been developed as a solution to the problems found through research needs analysis questionnaires, namely that learning has not been found on the material of the human circulatory system and there is still a lack of application of learning based on Discovery Learning.
This study aims to determine the validity and particularity of the Discovery Learning-Based Module on human circulatory system material and to determine the effect of Discovery Learning-based modules on improving learning outcomes and scientific attitudes of SMP/MTS students. The Discovery Learning-based module developed can improve student learning outcomes in science learning both in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of the material on the human circulatory system. The implementation of science learning should foster students' cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects of skills.
The type of research used is development or research and development (R&D). The development model used is the 4D development model which consists of four stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The validity assessment included three science education experts and the practicality assessment included five science teachers at MTsN 2 Pekanbaru. The test subjects for the Science module on human circulatory material included ten Grade VIII students who had taken the human circulatory system material on the readability test. The data obtained consisted of qualitative data and quantitative data by using observation guideline grids, interview guideline grids and questionnaire assessment sheets. Data were analyzed descriptively.
The results showed that (1) the validity of the Discovery Learning-based learning module on the human circulatory system material proved to be very valid for use in class VIII MTs N 2 Pekanbaru. It was obtained that the average value of the validation results of media experts was 84.86%, material experts were 82.67% and pedagogic experts were 81.98% with the validation criteria of all experts being very valid. (2) The practicality of learning modules based on Discovery Learning on the human circulatory system material which was carried out on 28 grade VIII students of MTs N 2 Pekanbaru was 85.12% which proved to be very practical for use in science learning. (3) The results of the MANOVA test show that there is a positive and significant direct effect of the Discovery Learning-based module on human circulatory system material on improving student
learning outcomes in class VIII MTs N 2 Pekanbaru. 4. The results of the MANOVA test show that there is a positive and significant direct effect of the Discovery Learning-based module on human circulatory system material on increasing the scientific attitude of class VIII MTs N 2 Pekanbaru.
The conclusion of this study is that the development of Discovery Learning-based learning modules on the material of the human circulatory system is very valid and the use of Discovery Learning-based learning modules developed can improve student learning outcomes and students'.
