ABSTRACT
Longan (Dimocarpus longan) is a group of fruit plants that are much liked by various ages, this can be seen from the amount of imports from year to year. The amount of litchi imports in 2018 amounted to 44,414 tons and in 2019 increased to 57,751 tons. This study aims to obtain a good composition of the medium and watering intensity for the growth of litchi seedlings. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This study used a randomized group design (RAK) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 repeats. The treatment given is a combination of several media compositions with watering intervals, namely soil + 1 x watering (300 ml), soil: bokashi (2:1) + 1 x watering (300 ml), soil: bokashi (1:2) + 1 x watering (300 ml), soil + 2 x watering (600 ml), soil: bokashi (2:1) + 2 x watering (600 ml) and soil: bokashi (1:2) + 2 x watering (600 ml). The results showed that the treatment of soil media composition: bokashi (2:1) with 2 x watering (600 ml) showed good growth for the parameters of increasing the number of petioles, the number of branches, and the increase in the number of leaves. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to use the composition of soil media: bokashi (2:1) with 2 x watering (600 ml) to get good grafted longan seedling growth.
