21st century skills in the national education system are a much-discussed issue. 21st century skills include communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. These four skills are mandatory for 21st century students. This is expected to be a provision for students to live life in the future. 21st century skills are closely related to the demands of the world of work. A person will be more successful in the world of work if he has good cooperation skills (collaboration) with colleagues and in a work team. Communication skills are soft skills that must be possessed by someone in the world of work, as well as collaboration skills.
The results of a preliminary study conducted on MAN 1 Siak students stated that students' perception of collaboration between students to complete a physics project was in the low category of 62%, and very low at 17%. Preliminary study data on students' scientific communication skills stated that 55% of students were in the low perception category, and 28% were very low (Khasanah et al., 2023). Students are not used to stating their practicum data in the form of tables, inferring the contents of tables, designing their own tables, reading graphs, inferring the meaning of graphs, designing their own graphs, and communicating orally and in writing about what is in tables and graphs.
Therefore, researchers carry out Classroom Action Research through the application of the TGT type cooperative learning model in an effort to improve student’s collaboration and scientific communication skills in class XI MIPA 1 MAN 1 Siak for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research implementation time starts from November 2022 to June 2023. The purpose of this study is to produce a physics learning design with the application of the TGT type cooperative learning model which is effective in improving collaboration skills and scientific communication skills of grade XI MIPA MAN 1 Siak students. The approach used in this study is mix methods with the type of research in the form of class actions. The PTK model refers to Kemmis & Taggart. Students' collaboration skills are measured through observation and recorded on observation sheets at each meeting. Scientific communication skills are measured through LKPD assessments that students do at each meeting.
The results showed that there was an increase in teacher activity in teaching, student activity in learning, student collaboration skills, student scientific communication skills, and student learning outcomes every cycle through the application of the TGT type cooperative learning model. The average results of teacher activity in teaching in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of 72.92% (good category), and the implementation of learning in the second cycle of 90.98% (very good category). The average results of student activity in the first cycle were obtained by an average percentage of 60.2% (good category), and the implementation of learning in the second cycle was 72.75% (good category). The

average results of student collaboration skills in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of 14.58% (not good category), and the implementation of learning in the second cycle of 84% (very good category). The average results of student’s scientific communication skills in the first cycle obtained an average percentage of 8.75% (not good category), and the implementation of learning in the second cycle of 88% (very good category). Student learning outcomes obtained classical completeness of 80% in cycle I and 86% in cycle II. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the implementation of cycle II learning through the application of the TGT type cooperative learning model can increase teacher activity in teaching, increase student activity in learning, improve student collaboration skills, improve student scientific communication, and improve the learning outcomes of grade XI MIPA 1 MAN 1 Siak students. Physics learning design with the application of the TGT type cooperative learning model that is effective in improving collaboration skills and scientific communication skills of grade XI MIPA MAN 1 Siak students is obtained through the use of technology in the learning process.
