Pengembangan Soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Pada Materi Statistika Kelas VIII SMP/Mts
This study aims to produce Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions on statistics material for class VIII that meet the criteria of being valid, reliable, having a good level of difficulty and discriminating power. The development model used by Tessmer's formative evaluation design flow consists of preliminary stages, self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one, small group, and field tests. The instruments in this study were validation sheets, questionnaires and HOTS questions in the form of descriptions. The test subjects were 34 students of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. This research resulted in 25 statistical questions with cognitive levels C4, C5 and C6. The questions were declared very valid by the validator with a percentage of 84.7% and the external validity test of 25 questions, only 22 questions were categorized as valid and a reliability value of 0.89 was declared very high. The difficulty level of the questions is 9 moderate questions and 13 difficult questions. There were 2 questions that were categorized as bad in distinguishing students, 13 questions that were categorized as sufficient and 7 questions that were categorized as good.
