Keberlanjutan Pengelolaan Hutan Adat Ghimbo Bonca Lida Dan Ghimbo Pomuan Kenegerian Kampa, Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
Customary forests experience problems covering ecological, economic, and socio-cultural aspects. Area problems in customary forests in the form of inadequate education/assistance, land use for oil palm plantations, and institutions that have not run as expected are the causes of not achieving customary forest management as expected.
This study aims to analyze the existing condition of the Ghimbo Bonca Lida and Ghimbo Pomuan Customary Forests, the level of management sustainability and to formulate a strategy for the sustainability of Ghimbo Bonca Lida and Ghimbo Pomuan Customary Forests Kenegerian Kampa, Kampar District, Riau Province. This research is expected to be one of the guidelines in efforts to formulate strategic steps that must be carried out by stakeholders in realizing a sustainable customary forest management system. Data collection methods in this study consisted of field surveys, interviews and literature studies. The data analysis technique consists of descriptive analysis and MDS analysis with Rap-Forest software.
The results showed that the existing conditions of the Ghimbo Bonca Lida and Ghimbo Pomuan Customary Forests from an ecological perspective still maintained their secondary forest cover, from the economic aspect the community used NTFPs and utilized water environmental services for agricultural irrigation and fish ponds, and from the socio-cultural aspect there was local wisdom held firmly by the customary law community of Kenegerian Kampa.
The results of the MDS (Rap-Forest) analysis showed that the very sustainable dimension is the ecological dimension (86.93%). The socio-cultural dimension is quite sustainable with an index value of 66.47%. While the economic dimension is classified as less sustainable with a relatively small index value of 43.81%. Multidimensionally, the status of sustainable management of the Ghimbo Bonca Lida and Ghimbo Pomuan Customary Forests is quite sustainable with an index value of 55.48%.
The results of the Rap-Forest analysis also produce lever attributes. 7 (seven) lever attributes were obtained which were considered to have the most influence on the sustainability of the management of Ghimbo Bonca Lida and Ghimbo Pomuan Customary Forests, namely: (1) Land clearing activities for plantations, (2) Forest rehabilitation, (3) Budget availability for protection and management of the area , (4) Local cultural practices in forest conservation (local wisdom), (5) Income level of the people living around the forest, (6) Education level of the people living around the forest area, and (7) Rules in the area.
It is necessary to carry out further research related to economic valuation including the potential for environmental services (water and carbon) in the Ghimbo Bonca Lida and Ghimbo Pomuan Customary Forests to increase the sustainability index value of the economic dimension of the Ghimbo Bonca Lida
