Strategi Kompensasi Dalam Percakapan Bahasa Jepang Pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Angkatan 2020 Fkip Universitas Riau

Compensation strategies are used to overcome limited knowledge in the
four skills of learning a language and producing a new language. This study aims
to find the compensation strategies used by students in Japanese conversation.
The participants in this study were middle-level students, namely students of class
2020 of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University,
in Japanese conversation. The purpose of this study was to find out the
compensation strategies used by students of class of 2020 of the Japanese
Language Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Riau in Japanese
conversations in Japanese conversations. The method used in this research is
descriptive qualitative method. The research instruments used were interviews,
documentation, and observation. The results of this study indicate that almost all
students use the strategy of switching to their mother tongue when speaking
Japanese.
