This study entitled "factors that cause street children in the ramayana downtown Pekanbaru". Street children are children who spend their time on the streets. Street children in their lives experience social problems such as discrimination, promiscuity, violence both verbally and non-verbally, the assessment of the factors that influence being a street child has its own assessment, that is, it is influenced by parenting parents, economic factors, peers and others. The purpose of this study is to understand and describe clearly the description of the characteristics and factors that influence being a street child in Ramayana. This research is a qualitative research type of research used is descriptive. This research was conducted using structured interviews to obtain data regarding the causes of being street children in the Ramayana world center in Pekanbaru City (Plaza Sukaramai). Based on the research results, the factors that cause street children are economic factors or poverty, family disorganization factors, population urbanization factors and social factors.
