ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the influence of knowledge management and the use of information technology on organizational performance with the implementation of accounting information systems as a mediating variable in Small Businesses in Southern Riau Province.
The population of this study is all Small Enterprises in Southern Riau Province. In this study, the data needed by the entire population sampled was 368 Small Businesses. The study sample was selected using proportional stratified random sampling method.
The data analysis techniques used in this study are descriptive statistics and Partial Least Square (PLS). PLS is a variant-based SEM statistical method designed to solve multiple regression when data problems occur, such as small study sample sizes, missing data and multicolonierites. PLS is an alternative approach that switches from a covariance-based SEM approach to variance (Ghozali and Latan, 2015). Data processing using Microsoft Excel 2010 and SmartPLS 3.0 software.
The results showed that knowledge management, the use of information technology has an influence on the implementation of accounting information systems, knowledge management, the use of information technology, and the implementation of accounting information systems has an influence on organizational performance, the role of accounting information system implementation is able to mediate the influence of knowledge management and the use of information technology on organizational performance.
