Strategi Pengendalian Erosi Lahan Di Lapangan Minas Wilayah Kerja Rokan
Erosion is a form of exogenous process, where one of the causes of erosion is mismanagement of water and soil, such as land use that is not in accordance with its capabilities. Erosion is a problem that is directly experienced in one of the oil fields, namely the Minas Field in Siak Regency, Riau. Even though land erosion measures have been implemented, soil erosion continues to recur, especially during the rainy season. The existence of various land management and topography will certainly create different conditions so it is necessary to conduct research to analyze existing conditions, factors that cause erosi on and obtain land erosion control strategies that can be applied in the Minas Field area by taking into account ecological, economic, social and technological conditions.
This research was conducted from February to July 2023, by taking research locations for observing land erosion in three villages, namely East Minas Village, West Minas Village and Minas Jaya Village. In this study used two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data in the form of observation data, questionnaires and interviews obtained from a series of inspections and measurements at the location as well as interviews with related parties. The secondary data used includes some literature and supporting data from several related agencies. The data analysis technique used in this study is a descriptive analysis technique using SWOT analysis.
The results of this research showed that the existing ecological conditions of the Minas Field area had a lowland and hilly topography with a red-yellow podzolic soil type of rock and alluvial as well as organosol soil and gley humus in the form of swamps or wet soil. The slope of the steep slope is above 40% with a height of 50-150 meters above sea level. Land cover is in the form of oil palm plantations, housing, factories, and land excavation. From an economic perspective, the Minas Field is one of the main sources of oil-producing wells in Riau and the majority of the livelihoods of the people around the Minas Field are farmers and entrepreneurs. The social aspect shows that the level of community education is still quite low, but social problems or conflicts between Minas field Operator and the community are quite rare. Furthermore, the factors that influence erosion control in the Minas Field are derived from internal weaknesses and external threats. These factors include soil type, slope, level of erosion, rainfall, land cover, land ownership, industrial activity, increase in population, level of development, level of community education, community understanding of erosion control, community involvement in controlling erosion, government surveillance and accessibility.
The strategy obtained from the results of the SWOT analysis is in quadrant IV where a defensive strategy needs to be carried out, namely by conducting outreach and awareness to the community, increasing cooperation with the Regional Government and Village Government, and minimizing the impact

arising from industrial activities. In terms of erosion control that occurs in the research area, it cannot only involve Minas field Operator. However, there needs to be cooperation and support from the community, local government, village government, academics and other related institutions. In addition, programs related to increasing public knowledge regarding erosion control can be studied further in order to determine and more targeted erosion control strategies.
