Analisis Pendapatan Nelayan Alat Tangkap Jaring Insang Hanyut (Drift Gillnet) Di Desa Bogak Kecamatan Tanjung Tiram Kabupaten Batubara Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract This research was conducted on January 16 - January 30 2023 in Bogak Village, Tanjung Tiram District, Batubara Regency, North Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of fishermen in Bogak village, and the amount of income of fisherman owners in Bogak village. The research method used is a survey method. Data analysis used descriptive, data collection techniques through primary data and secondary data. The method used in this study is a survey method, namely by conducting field observations and interviewing respondents using a descriptive-quantitative approach and also obtaining the necessary data using a questionnaire. Respondents used as many as 33 fishermen using probability sampling technique with the type of determining the sample of fishermen using simple random sampling (Simple random sampling). The results showed that the average age of fishermen was 30-52 years. The dominant fishermen's education level is elementary school graduates. Fishermen's work experience ranges from 10-49 years and has 2-7 dependents. The production of fishermen catches an average of 11,550 kg in 3 seasons a year. The average income of fisherman owners in one trip is IDR 359,759/trip and the average profit earned is IDR 53,149,993 in one year. Keywords: characteristics, fishermen, income
